Stereo Wire Harness Nissan Altima 05 06 2005 2006 (car radio wiring installation parts) Review
Average Reviews:
(More customer reviews)This is a standard nice harness but be aware that depending on your Nissan Model the wiring positions and use of some wires will be different. As an example I wired up a 2005 Altima with the Mid level radio trim and the Black wire (marked as ground) of this adapter is actual a vehicle speed signal(VSS) that feeds off the dash. The particular model I worked on uses a chassis ground for the radio so no ground is even available in the factory wiring connections. Also this harness adapter has a illumination switched wire (ON/OF with headlights) but no pin to connect to the illumination dimmer wire (adjustable dimming) of the factory harness. I ended up pulling the AMP ground wire from this adapters smaller connector (unused in the car I worked on) and reinserted it into the empty dimmer position of this harnesses larger connector. Now everything works like a champ I have Day/Night mode (switched illumination), adjustable dimming (illumination dimming) availability and vehicle speed information (VSS) without pulling the dashboard or cutting up the factory harness. The use of this connector allowed the ability of the owner to go back to a factory radio or swap to another head unit with no problems if needed.
