(More customer reviews)These lights had a cheap, plastic feel when I first got them out of the box. Many of the fixtures were in pieces and had to be reassembled. I thought it was a bad purchase at first, but once I got everything put together (which took less than 10 minutes) and then hung them on my porch, I was really pleased. They look good and you can't really tell everything is cheap plastic once they are up. Originally we were looking at higher end strings, that actually did have metal fixtures and a similar style. Some of these sets were upwards of $60 and only had 8 lights on the string. I liked these enough, once they were up, to order 2 addtional strings and put them up around 3 walls of my porch. As I said, they look good when up and you can't tell that they aren't the more expensive lights. Hopefully, they last for a bit, but it's tough to argue with getting 3 strings for the price of one of the more expenive strings.
