Was introduced to this Flagpole at a previous residence. Purchased and used several years before moving. At my new residence, I purchased and broke four new flagpoles including types that are in peices that you stick together and types you lift and twist. Can't get any of these types down after a period of time. You have to lift them out of the ground and as you tilt them over they break.
The Sunsetter, you just lift slightly up to take the weight off the pin, push the pin in and down it comes. Repeat this for each section and wow, it's 4 ft high. Now just lift out of the base if needed. What a concept...
Only two problems that I have discovered and they take a long time to appear. No1, the plastic top that the ball sits in cracks due to exposure and Sunsetter will replace it free. It's held in by two small screws.
No2 is the holes around the pins seem to wobble out after about 5 to 6 years but only minimally. It's steal pins against aluminum tubing. Seems to make retracting it a little more easy.
Let me clarify though, I use my poles for other than intended purposes. They make fantastic 20 ft Christmas trees during the Holidays.
I highly recommend this product and will never buy the other types again. Its the only one for me and I now have two of them.
