(More customer reviews)We purchased a new Sony radio from Crutchfield but were surprised to find that it didn't work with the XM tuner that came with the Dual unit that had died. Crutchfield rep said we'd have to pay hundreds of dollars to get XM to work on the new unit, but this adapter allowed us to use the old XM tuner that came with the (broken) Dual model with the new Sony. The setup has worked fine for several months now.

Both this adapter and the universal tuner are extremely compact and will install easily behind your dash or in any other convenient location.
Please note that when using the XMDSON110 adapter, the sound settings -- such as bass, treble, balance, fader, and sub level -- on some Sony receivers may revert to factory settings when you switch from XM to another source and back. Channel presets and equalizer presets, however, will continue to operate properly.
